Muslims believe Jesus was a prophet and was a virgin birth by Mary with God (Allah) having blessed her with child. However, they do not believe he was crucified. They believe God raised him to heaven and he will return to earth before the day of judgment. While they consider him one of God's greatest prophets, they do not consider him as the son of God.

There were and are Jewish sects that follow Jewish rites, laws and traditions yet believe that Jesus is the promised savior. In the past these Jewish Christian sects have been identified as Nazarines, Ebionites, Elkasites and others. In the present day more commonly they are considered Messianic Jews.
