The Past

Although much simplified: A little more than 60 years after the crucifixion of Jesus there began Roman wars with the Jews and other subsequent events that led to a division of the two religions, Judaism and Christianity. For a time Jews were exiled, Gentiles were not. More fractions and fighting occurred with Jews eventually persecuting Christians and Christians blaming the Jews for the destruction of Jerusalem and the killing of Jesus. The two faiths went their separate ways and for the most part is still such in present day. Of note however, there are still factions of the Jewish people who believe Jesus is the savior. This does not lesson their adherence to the Jewish rites and traditions, after all, Jesus did this.

Looking back: The death of our Lord was ordained and necessary for Jesus to fulfill his divine purpose so can any person or group really be to blame.
